Joe Bernal - LEAD VOCALS, GUITAR

Hometown: Cavite, Philippines

Joe Bernal has a voice like no other. Some have described him as Bill Withers crossed with Joe Cocker. Charismatic Joe, with his soulful voice usually astounds the audience. People often do a double-take as they can’t believe that voice is coming from him. But there’s more to Joe Bernal than just his deep, gritty vocals. He is an incredible song-writer and has authored many of their original material like the hits “Give Me A Job” and“Maybe Later”. Additionally, Joe is a top-notch guitarist that can hold his own in the spotlight. He plays both electric and acoustic guitars with refined technique that sinks up so well with the lead guitarist, Steven Burns.

When Joe Bernal joined the Burnsville Band in 2006, destiny was in full throttle.   Not only do Steve Burns and Joe Bernal’s guitar styles perfectly sink into a groove, no matter if they are playing their strats or their acoustics, but both performers have personal histories of the same tragedy that few men share. That sorrow binds them as brothers for life. But that’s what has earned them the right to sing the blues and boy do they. The chemistry between them adds fuel to their songwriting and zeal to their performances. The parallel stories, of these two musicians can be heard in their originals on “Give Me A Job” which are captivating audiences far and wide.

Joe Bernal does not have a website.  Send him an email or find him on Facebook.
